Annotation The paper presents the analysis of the results of the labor market situation monitoring in the Transbaikal region, which is carried out to identify trends, contradictions and regional peculiarities of employment and social adaptation of graduates from higher educational institutions. On the basis of the obtained data, the authors reveal fundamental contradictions which have major influence on the regional labor market. They justify the necessity to practice prediction methods to determine the labor market needs in specialists with higher education at the regional level. The novelty of this paper is that the authors propose to use a multidimensional information system that will coordinate existing information flows on the status of social work processes at various levels for their further integration into the process of forecasting the situation at the labor market in the region.
