Annotation The article describes the results of research on the role of social intelligence in the determination of a person’s professional self-realization. The study involved representatives of «man–sign system» professions. The author proves that the level of their self-realization depends on their social intelligence and identifies the indicators of their understanding of the meaning of life and their psychological adaptation. Social intelligence turns out to be a determinant and a psychological resource in personal professional self-fulfillment. The present research is based on the procedures of correlation and factor analysis.
