Annotation The article analyzes the approaches to educating people in the religious and philosophical systems of the East (Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism) in accordance with the traditions of their psycho-cultures, as well as in the context of the theory and practice of interaction between the eastern and western cultural models. The transpersonal approach is not alien to Confucianism that performs the socially important function of introducing the natural spontaneity of life in the rigid framework of conventions – conventional knowledge. Not conventional knowledge expressed in abstract, linear terms but direct, immediate knowledge is important for Taoism, and Buddhism. The article emphasizes that the psyche actively influences on the biochemical processes in the sports training process, in the course of diseases, as well as recovery, although the mechanisms of this effect are not studied yet and require in-depth analysis. The article considers the religious and philosophical systems of the East as an opportunity to better see and understand much of what is hidden behind ordinary personal psychology and pedagogy.
Key words education, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism.
