| Annotation |
The article dwells upon the utterances taken from writers’ epistolar that present the
conventions of epistolary communication. Conventional aims and speech acts explicating
them are classified. Pragmatic factors stipulating the creation of utterances with the definite
speech intention by the author of writing are analyzed. The tendencies of the changes
of epistolary communication rules during XIX-XX centuries are exposed.
