| Annotation |
The paper addresses the main provisions of the modernization of education in accordance with the concept
of modernization of Russian education up to 2010 and experience in their implementation in the Zabaikalsky Krai
in the first decade of the 21st century. The author defines three stages of modernization: 2001–2003, 2004–2005
and 2006–2010, describes design seminars for municipal teams to develop programs of education modernization
at the municipal level and characterizes the implementation of the priority national project “Education” and the
main directions of the development of education in the region. The author states that the effectiveness of the educational
system of secondary education is largely determined by modernization processes, a positive experience
of which has accumulated in the Zabaikalsky Krai. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the modernization
process in vocational education and the implementation of the Bologna process in higher educational institutions
of the Zabaikalsky Krai.
