Annotation |
The article deals with the analysis of the use of categories and concepts of competence-based approach in
modern Russian education. The author of the article focuses on the publications of the last decade and pays special
attention to professional competence of a teacher. Following the Russian researchers-teachers, the author differentiates
between two similar but different in content concepts - competence and competency, which are directly
related to the quality of training and the activity of the teacher. The “core competencies” concept is considered in
the context of modernization of education and education quality assessment.
