An express method for calculating the forecast production parameters of gas wells based on
gas producers’ monthly production reports is proposed. List of postulates (hypotheses) accepted
for computation of forecast flow rates is formulated. An algorithm for calculating the forecast flow rates of a gas well is developed. Test examples of calculation based on real production data
of the well production decline curves are given. The proposed express methodology can be used
by gas producers both for workover planning and to justify the rationality of the technical and
economic effectiveness of the the workover.
