Annotation The article deals with some aspects of professional becoming of future psychologists connected with the question of studying the professional self-awareness components formation in the course of higher education. The scheme of research aimed at revealing significant differences in indicators of professional self-awareness components in psychology students of different courses of study at the university has been set up and implemented. The qualitative analysis of significant differences in the level of professional self-awareness components formation among students studying in the field “Psychology” at the Transbaikal State University was carried out. The content of the revealed differences, features and problems of professional self-awareness formation of psychology students of different courses of study at the university served as the basis for creation of the project “School of professional skills”. The project’s purpose and objectives, experience of implementing have been described. The results of the scientific research show the importance of studying the peculiarities of professional self-awareness components formation of future psychologists, psychological and pedagogical support of professional becoming in the course of training.
