The article gives a comparative analysis of the phonological levels of English and Russian, offers a phonoferents classification of English-Russian and Russian- English interlanguages and defines the notions of the first (native) and second languages. The study establishes exact reasons for interlanguages genesis and explains the nature of deviations.
