Annotation The article analyzes the ways which help Chinese students to avoid lexical mistakes when they speak Russian. The analysis and classification of mistakes made by Chinese students in their written and oral speech are necessary to solve the problem of connecting the teaching of Russian lexis with the culture of thinking and the speech culture. The author of the article concludes that the analysis of mistakes is a special kind of language work. There is no doubt that it is necessary to explain everything that remains obscure and unclear. The author proves that analyzing lexical, semantic, grammatical, phonetic mistakes means achieving clarity in students’ comprehension of Russian and helping them to learn the foreign language lexical material.
