Annotation |
The historical analysis of the experience of school reforms in the Soviet period shows that the issues
of the younger generation’s education in the spirit of patriotism have always been very important.
Pedagogy of this period gained much experience of patriotic upbringing of the younger generation,
developed effective ways and means of influencing the pupils as well as different forms and methods
of work. In Soviet pedagogy patriotic education of the younger generation was based on the works of
N. K. Krupskaya, A. V. Lunacharsky, A. S. Makarenko, V. A. Sukhomlinsky and others. The history of
domestic pedagogy of the Soviet period was very dramatic and controversial. This period was characterized
by the formation of a socially oriented, powerful and effective system of upbringing that rigidly
subordinated the personality’s interests to society and put to the fore the introduction of political and
ideological doctrines into the students’ consciousness.
