| Annotation |
The article provides a brief description of the professional specifics of pilots and an empirical study of meaning and fullness of life course of representatives of military aircraft (flight and engineering personnel). It is noted that the work of a military pilot is one of the most difficult types of professional military activity because of the high requirements to the state of health, performance and endurance of flight personnel and special conditions in which professionals are serving. In the course of empirical research, we found that aircrew soldiers demonstrate emotional involvement in the present and the desire to get most pleasure from this moment of life, to perceive life as emotionally rich, full of meaning and events. In military flight crews there are clear goals and plans for the future that they are trying to implement. The military men prepare in advance for changes related to retirement with confidence that life scenario can be built by them in accordance with their own plans and objectives. The desire for self-development and self-realization fills the pilot’s life with additional sense, makes it even more intense. At present, the military men want to achieve a certain result primarily in the sphere of professional activity which is the most relevant for them at the moment, “here and now”. Taking into account the specific (extreme) conditions in which military pilots are serving, they see the main and reliable support in their families.
