Annotation Monitoring of the physical development of young athletes is the most important area of the protection of their health as disharmony of physical development may adversely affect the state of the major adaptive systems of the growing organism. Excessive increase of body height and weight, physical growth and unbalanced activity, the condition of the heart may at some point become disadaptive, and the parameters of its activities will differ from the normal. The ECG results of the young sportsmen using CardioVisor reveal signs of hypoxia and left ventricular hypertrophy, especially in the weightlifting group. In our studies we showed that physical growth of more than a third of the tested student-athletes characterized as disharmonious and even sharply disharmonious. It is particularly observed in the groups of students engaged in power sports. Evaluation of the health of athletes of those groups via the Baevsky formula also shows signs of trouble in the conditions of adaptive systems of the body that requires more in-depth medical examination. Thus, it is becoming necessary to create a data base of the physical growth of young athletes belonging to different sports, to determine their respective age and sex norms.
Key words athletes, physical development, health, harmonious development
