Annotation The article attempts to reveal the nature of interaction between education and science in a modern university. Science and education are sectors that are destined for the future. Therefore, it is not possible to overcome the well-known difficulties associated with the modernization of Russian society, without reliance on education and science. To ensure its implementation, it is extremely important to discuss the issues of communication, interconnection, interaction of education and science, especially at the level of higher education. In the Russian university education, there is a serious deficit of the integrity of education and science. In this regard, it seems important to analyze the domestic and foreign experience of integrating research and teaching in the university training of future specialists. Western European experience shows that the strengthening of the importance of research work in higher education has a positive impact on the internal life of higher education institutions. A successful western-type scientist has the right to independently organize research groups, where the best students become employees. The latter thereby on a professional basis are involved in scientific work. Measures to integrate science and education in the training of specialists are taken. Analyzing the content of state measures for the integration of science and education, we note that they mainly disclose the mechanisms of integration through the improvement of the regulatory framework, the functioning of research-type universities, the economic attractiveness of scientific activity in universities, the creation of legal and regulatory frameworks for encouraging the attraction of extra budgetary funds for Development of scientific activities of universities and the like.
