Annotation The article reveals a complete picture of the work of a teacher-defectologist in the conditions of the emergence of modern legal framework and the development of inclusive education. Education of persons with disabilities is a priority in the Russian Federation. The efforts of the state authorities are aimed at creating an educational environment that ensures the availability and quality of education for all persons with disabilities and persons with disabilities, taking into account the peculiarities of their psychophysical development and health status. The Federal law “On education of the Russian Federation” of 29.12.2012 № 273 introduced the definition for “a child with disabilities – a natural person who has disabilities in physical and (or) psychological development, confirmed by the psychological, medical and pedagogical Commission and prevents education without creating special conditions”. The psychological, medical and pedagogical Commission can determine the status of a child with disabilities and recommend an adapted educational program and special conditions for education. Based on the fundamental principles of the psychological, medical and pedagogical Commission such as respect for the personality of the child and the parent, voluntary, confidentiality, openness, partnership, interdisciplinary interaction, professional responsibility and equivalence of all specialists of the PMPC, the members of the Commission together with the defectologist move from General recommendations to the choice of the whole complex of training, education and development of such students. The variant of the adapted educational program is determined in accordance with the Federal state educational standards, special educational conditions, activities of all specialists included in the complex support of the child in the educational organization are described.
