Annotation The essence of the changes happening in modern society is proved. The change of one civilized industrial stage by the post-industrial information society is considered. Sociocultural updating of education content in genesis of information society is discussed. In the new type of social relations the new relations connected with the economy built on knowledge act as basis. In the post-industrial society the key advantage of the personality, organization, society, knowledge becomes the competitive advantage of knowledge management. The sociocultural conditionality of the education content is defined by the institution-building of education as the social institute, representing public interests where the missions of educational institutes begin to function as public institutions. There is a need to justify the significance of socio-cultural characteristics of the subject activity as a factor in the changes in the educational process. In a social democratic society, the state establishes a balance of interests, rights of all public actors, social-cultural, religious and ethnic differences between people bringing to the forefront their level of education and professional competence. The basis for updating the content of education is the legislative basis of concept education definition as a single purposeful process of upbringing and education, which is a public benefit and carried out in the interests of a person, family, society and the state, as well as a set of acquired knowledge, skills, values, attitudes, experience and competence and complexity for purposes of intellectual, spiritual and moral, creative, physical and (or) the professional development of a person and meeting his educational needs and interests. The aim of the article is to substantiate and analyze the social and cultural conditionality of education content in the region as a public weal.
