Annotation The article deals with the problem of independent assessment of the students’ training quality in pedagogical areas of training. A new technology and a modern innovative tool for external independent assessment of the quality of education are presented – the Federal Internet Exam for graduates of the Bachelor degree (FIEB). The result of the study was the description of the features of the FIEB educational pedagogical measuring materials for students enrolled in areas of training for 44.00.00 UGSN “Education and Pedagogical Sciences”, which include two parts: test and case. These tools allow to assess the level of the professional competencies components’ (cognitive, behavioral) formation. The article presents the main results of student participation in the FIEB for 2016–2018; describes the results of students in the areas of training 44.03.01 Pedagogical education and 44.03.05 Pedagogical education (with two training profiles) enrolled in the profiles of “Pre-school education” and “Primary education”. The theoretical and practical significance of the study is that it justifies the need to take into account the current trends in the modernization of the education system in general and the system of pedagogical education in particular, as well as the direction (profile) of educational programs, being implemented in pedagogical universities.
