Annotation In the framework of the preventive paradigm, a system-subjective, personal, factorial and gender approaches were used in the exposure of the extremist orientation predictors. The relevance and importance of studying this kind of orientation in the structure of the student’s personal orientation and its safety is shown. The revealed relationships indicate the presence of direct positive connections in the manifestation of the students’ extremist orientation, regarding the psychological content of the “emotional stability”, “sociability” and “openness” factors. The study has revealed a relationship between the individual psychological characteristics of the students’ personality and extremist orientation manifestations. The fragmented nature of the positive ties suggests that male teenagers are ready to show restraint and impatience to taunts addressed to them, inability to self-regulate in difficult life situations and high non-conformism to other people’s ideological motives and principles. Girls demonstrate their readiness to show both conformism in this direction, and impatience towards personal attitudes and principles. The necessity of taking into account the significance of gender characteristics of extremist predictors while organizing the psychological and pedagogical preventive measures is substantiated it is connected with the insufficient social and psychological maturity of students, the categorical perception of contradictions of a social nature, the desire for maximalism and risks, a tendency to manifestations of protest behaviour in various forms.
