Annotation The formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies for bachelor and master students of Pedagogical Education brings forward the problem of choosing technologies that deal with the issue in the current situation of e-learning and blended learning in the most optimal and comprehensive way. One of such technologies, according to the author, is Case study. The article interprets the statistics of the empirical research on bachelor and master students for confirmation their interest in Case study, the advantages and disadvantages of working with cases when studying methodic courses in contact and distance formats. The author focuses on UC-1 competence. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the relevance of Case study both in contact and distance formats for the developing UC-1 for bachelors and master students of Pedagogical Education, and to present samples of cases used for this purpose when studying methodic courses in the master program “Methodological Technologies in Philological Education” (44.04.01 Pedagogical Education) and bachelor program “Russian language and literature” (44.03.05 Pedagogical Education, with two profiles). Methods of the research are: analysis and synthesis when describing the state of the problem of using cases in the formation of competencies for bachelor and master students of Pedagogical Education, in particular UC-1; methods of analysis, abstraction, construction. In addition, the system method was used. The study identifies requirements for cases that can be used for bachelor and master students of Pedagogical Education methods and technologies of teaching Russian language and ways to correct them. The article presents corrected Case studies and the comments to them in the aspect of their orientation to the formation of the UC-1.
