Article type
Annotation The article presents the possibilities and educational potential of STEM technologies in solving the problems of cognitive development of preschool and primary school children. Specific examples and ways of im-plementing the STEM approach in the educational process at the level of preschool and primary education are presented. Applied research meth-ods: theoretical – analysis of pedagogical and educational literature, arti-cles of teachers-practitioners and researchers in the field of education. The article will be useful for reading to kindergarten teachers, primary school teachers who directly organize the educational process with children and interact with parents (legal representatives), other specialists of the educa-tion system when organizing their work, as well as management teams of educational organizations. According to the results of the study, the con-clusion is formulated that when using STEM technologies in preschool and primary general education, teachers have a wide range of opportunities that significantly update the activities of an educational organization and bring it to a completely new level, the level of mobility, efficiency and effec-tiveness of all processes occurring in it. The specific features are as fol-lows: children have the opportunity to take the first steps in mastering the most relevant educational directions; children can identify and adjust the range of their interests and preferences through gaining practical experi-ence in various educational areas; children can receive the most neces-sary and relevant knowledge that will definitely be useful at the stage of school education and in later life, which corresponds to the organization of more tangible continuity between preschool and primary general education.
