| Annotation |
The article presents material about the life and work of the famous popularizer of exact sciences, the
founder of the genre of entertaining science, a journalist and a teacher. The significance of Ya. I. Perelman’s
life and work for modern generations of Russian residents is determined by: the importance of popularizing
science and attracting young people to scientific research, technical creativity, invention; the possibility of
implementing patriotic education through appealing to such a versatile personality; the use of methodological
ideas in teaching mathematics and subjects of the natural science cycle for the development and maintenance
of interest in science among modern schoolchildren, activation of their cognitive activity. The personality
of Ya. I. Perelman, his multifaceted activities are presented in the article using a number of schemes
that visualize information. The article reveals the following aspects of the life and work of Ya. I. Perelman: the
formation of the personality of the future popularizer of science (childhood and youth); the characteristics of
his personality; the main direction of activity – the popularization of science; other areas of activity (scientific
and pedagogical activities, activities in the field of science and technology, journalism, organizational and educational
activities, etc.); life and activity during the Great Patriotic War. The essence of the creative method of
Ya. I. Perelman, the founder of a new genre of popular science literature – “entertaining science”, is revealed
in sufficient detail: the main features that distinguish entertaining science from other trends in the popularization
of knowledge, the techniques of entertaining science. |
