Annotation The article is devoted to the discussion of the effectiveness of some approaches to the study of foreign languages by means of computer technology. The article describes the results of searching of universal algorithms for creating automated systems for learning foreign languages (using as examples of English and Finnish languages). A methodology of constructing a computerized TechnoLingvistica complex to help in learning the Finnish language is presented. The methodology takes into account the specific features and typical difficulties in learning the Finnish language. The article reviews the current state of textbooks, dictionaries and methodological recommendations for the study of the Finnish language from the point of view of their applicability in the tasks of computational linguodidactics and the creation of applications based on them for various operating systems. Authors consider comparative characteristics of linguistic data for English and Finnish languages. The main attention is paid to the creation features of computer morphological and grammatical databases for the Finnish language. A brief description of the author’s computer model of a controlled dictionary entry is given in relation to the Finnish language for creating electronic dictionaries and flashcards that can be used in teaching to replenish the vocabulary. The results of the creation of electronic dictionaries of the Finnish language – grammatical and Finnish-Russian translation dictionaries are presented. A brief description of the author’s computer model of a controlled dictionary entry for an electronic dictionary of the Finnish language is given, on the basis of which linguistic cards can be created to replenish the vocabulary. The proposed model makes it possible to take into account individual cognitive characteristics and cognitive needs of the user as much as possible. The software is developed for two platforms OS Windows and OS Android. It includes the dictionaries, a management system and the creation of electronic cards for memorizing Finnish words and expressions. The main functions of the TechnoLingvistica software are described, as well as prospects for further development of the direction are indicated.
