Annotation The article presents the results of the experiments in radiotransparency of ice covers in the microwave range. It is found that at plastic deformation under mechanical stress, there appear noncoherent additional electromagnetic waves in the ice structures. These waves could be used for observing ice structures flowing. The method of two-position radiolocation is considered for registering ice flowing.
Key words ice, electromagnetic waves, additional waves, plastic deformation.
