| Annotation |
The issues of education role in modern social conditions are considered in the given article
on the basis of scientific publications and statistics analysis as well as research carried
out by the author. An increase in demand for self-realization through work, professional activities,
and growth of education importance in the values system and in achieving the life goals
is observed among the Russian youth. However, the author stresses that a process of finding
life vocations and getting education in modern conditions is becoming more complicated.
The role and responsibility of institutes of higher education in meeting the tasks connected
with socialization, formation of high professional, moral, civic and legal culture of students
is underlined. The article notes that solution of these problems depends to a large extent on
professional and personal qualities of a teacher, his/her orientation to the values of the Russian
intelligentsia.
Activities of higher education institutes in forming students’ competences aimed at competitiveness,
successful career and personal life are described. The author emphasizes that society
should meet the demands of modern youth for education, self-expression in career as dynamics
of social development depends largely on this issue.
