Annotation The article is devoted to the problem of training of future engineers in physics as part of the applied bachelor degree programs. Such training programs’ main feature is that they are based on the educational programs of secondary vocational education, in conjunction with higher education programs, including getting a serious theoretical training. Particular attention is paid to practical training: laboratory practical works and workshops to address physical problems. When the laboratory work is proposed to use the so-called creative laboratory work, under which trainees are working on their own theoretical material, in order to form a clear picture of the phenomenon under study, a physical law. In addition, students are required to predict the results of the experiments. Next, students put their own goals and objectives of the experiment, pick up the necessary laboratory equipment, make conclusions on the study. As a means of informative activity of students in the solution of physical problems the author offers integrative interdisciplinary, inter-cycle communication, orienting learners to apply knowledge in real-world production environments. Such tasks include knowledge not only in physics but also in chemistry, mathematics, special technology, etc. Examples of such tasks with comments are given.
