| Annotation |
The importance of physics and mathematics education is determined by the place and a role of physics and mathematics in knowledge and exploration of the world, their value for the development of techniques and technologies. In the article, we present separate pages from the history of teachers’ training at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, from the time of its establishment (1938) to the period of the consolidation of the three former Faculties, i.e. Physics and Mathematics, Natural Geography, Technology and Economics into to a single Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Technologies (2012). History of the faculty is profound, many-sided, and rich in events. The faculty repeatedly underwent structural transformations, there were changes in the list of specialties and terms of teachers’ training, programs, and curricula. However, for the period of its existence, activities of various generations of lecturers, employees and students provided high level of training of specialists in the field of physics and mathematics education, which has always been consistent with the requirements of the time.
