Annotation The paper analyses one of the most essential components of the language composition of the text, the image of the story-teller in Tatyana Doronina’s diary prose. The language structure of the given category is investigated by two methods: the contextual analysis is used to distinguish and classify verbal series; the shuttle method is applied to divide language units into circles with their subsequent redistribution among verbal series that organize the image of the story-teller. The analysis of the image of the story-teller allows drawing a conclusion about the two-component structure of this category: the language structure of the image of the story-teller is presented by the interaction of two speech spheres – I-narrated and I-narrating. The two-component structure of the image of the story-teller is determined by the coexistence of current diary and retrospective records in the analyzed text. The author identifies and analyzes the main ways of creating the structure of the diary story-teller, the interaction of verbal series and changes in the points of view, in particular.
Key words verbal series, point of view, language composition, language structure of the image of the story-teller, I-narrated, I-narrating.
