Annotation Analyzing experience of describing professional portrait of a specialist in advertizing and public relations of different scientists, the author pays attention to relevance of diagnosing psychological and psycho-physiological abilities of students as one of the causes of accordance with a profession and requirements of the Educational Standard of Higher education to the bachelor of “Advertising and Public Relations”. The author uses modified and adapted technique “Valuable orientations” which was developed by M. Rokich and a questionnaire “Motivation of success and fear of failure” of A. A. Rean in the research. Dominating values of students, future advertisers and PR managers and degree of expressiveness of motivation of students for achievement of success have been determined via the method of mathematical statistics. The students prove that freedom of actions and acts and active position of life are of great importance. Among means of achieving goals future advertisers and PR managers choose education, responsibility and independence. It is an interesting fact that freedom of actions and acts as the terminal, vital purpose is connected with independence as the tool of achieving this purpose. Motivation of achievement of students of this direction is closer to a success pole than to the pole failure avoiding that gives an opportunity to suppose that these students have professional suitability. Nevertheless, the qualitative analysis of results has shown that according to some psychological characteristics, for example, steadiness, they poorly correspond to requirements of a profession.
