The article is devoted to analysis of the processes of acculturation in contemporary Russian society, within the framework of the Eurasian world, problems of mastering cultural samples of East and West and the simultaneous desire to preserve cultural identity. From the point of view of Eurasianism, image of the world culture is pluralistic: national cultures are not reduced to each other and co-exist in parallel. N.S. Trubetskoy proclaimed the idea of the equal worth of all cultures. V.S. Solovyov understood Russia as a medial factor of the world history, which takes itself as the opposite of the West and the East. It is considered as a non-European phenomenon with its unique Western and Eastern features, which also belongs to the West and the East. Russia was interpreted as “Eurasia”, special mid-continent between Asia and Europe and a special type of culture. A person in the geopolitical space of Europe and Asia is similar to the two-faced Janus. One of his faces looks to the West and another one looks to the East. The West attracts the person by different technologies, material goods, level of education, organization of work and leisure, and more. But his perception of space, mentality, style of conduct remains oriental.
