Annotation The world in which we live today is becoming increasingly dependent on information technologies. They are widely, intensively and effectively used by man in all spheres of activity. Excursion activity is not an exception: the introduction of various innovative technologies and their integration with the already familiar excursion activity is irreversible. Excursion tourism is one of the main types of tourism, which today does not lose its demand and is developing in many countries of the world, and the excursion is one of the popular tourist services. This paper aims to examine, summarize and present the most popular innovations in excursion activities. First, in the article the authors consider innovative forms of excursion activity from the point of view of their implementation in the city of Chita. Second, excursion products offered by tourist firms and museums of the city are systematized, as well as the available innovative excursion products are analyzed. Third, options for using innovations in excursion activities are proposed. The article concludes that the most promising innovations are the radio guide, QR code, quest excursions and excursions with animation elements.
