Annotation This article analyzes the prospects for traditional ecological culture, studies various transformation forms of its experience in contemporary socio-cultural practices and assesses its philosophical basis in scientific discourse. Traditional society considered itself as part of the Ecumenical body and built its relationships with nature on the principles of reciprocity. The ethical aspect of traditional nature use resonates in popular consciousness of modern postindustrial societies. Ecological culture of traditional societies is considered as an alternative to the existing socio-cultural organization and a form of individual spiritual self-improvement. This is evident in ecophyll directives of anti-globalists, youth subcultures, traditional and non-traditional religious movements. The magical attitude to the world and syncretism, characteristic of traditional cultures, are present in the contemporary mass consciousness. Archaic experience is transformed and acquires a futuristic dimension. In modern philosophy there is a wide range of assessments of the traditional culture capacity. The article analyzes the theories of globalization, cultural unification, co-evolution and sustainable development. There is a tendency to overcome anthropocentrism, the duality of the subject and object in the relationship of man and nature as well as to reject Eurocentrism in favor of the idea of multiplicity, heterogeneity, and the value of different ways of life created by mankind. The process of forming a new environmental ethic involves a complex synthesis of value orientations of different cultures, including the values developed by traditional societies.
Key words nature, society, traditional culture, environmental culture, subculture, CoEvolution, anthropocentrism
