Annotation The article considers the actual problem of the definition of “adaptation” and “socialization” concepts. It presents the definitions of these concepts, as well as their correlation and comparison. The author introduces various interpretations of the definitions given by foreign and Russian researchers. The purpose of this article is to identify the phenomenological field of these terms. The author makes the theoretical analysis of the concepts of “adaptation” and “socialization” in terms of different approaches. Lack of views unity on the problem of defining allows different approaches to complement each other. A comparative analysis of the presented concepts will give impetus to further research in their study.
