Annotation The paper discusses primary schoolchildren’s success in protected health and educational space sanatorium school as a psychological and pedagogical problem. The author stresses the need to preserve and promote children’s health to facilitate their successful socialization in the process of transition to the main school through implementing psychological and pedagogical support, improving their self-esteem, creating a situation of success and including not only children but also their parents in a variety of activities. On the basis of the selected criteria of success the author proves the influence of psychological and social health on primary schoolchildren’s success. The paper notes that the success of primary schoolchildren depends on their achievements in various spheres of activity: design, research, creativity, recreation and others. The use of “portfolio” to assess the pupils’ personal achievements promotes the formation of the ability to see the dynamics of the results of their achievements.
