Annotation |
The article reveals one of the most debatable issues of contemporary higher teacher training
education, i. e. the elaboration of methods, techniques and technologies of developing and
assessing professional competences of Bachelors and Masters of Education. The competence
approach possessing the status of a professional training strategy requires the use of such educational
means that could enable students to gain their experience in various activities and develop
their ability to apply this knowledge in professional situations. Competency-oriented tasks might
be viewed as one of the competence developing methods. The article contains the description of
various competency-oriented tasks that serve as a means of professional competence development
and assessment in the course of training Bachelors’ and Masters’ of Education. A certain
approach to the typology of competency-oriented tasks has been suggested.
