Annotation |
The article is devoted to the experience of organizing the research activities of students in the period of their education under the program of Pedagogical Education, direction Historical education at the Pedagogical Institute of the Irkutsk State University. This program of master’s training at the Pedagogical Institute has been carried out over a number of years in accordance with the Federal State Standard. As a result of its implementation, a rich experience has been accumulated for the formation of research competence of graduates. With the help of scientific directors, the students studying in the program of master’s training get knowledge, skills and abilities for self-organized scientific and research activities, the performance of master’s thesis, organization of research work. Research training is carried out throughout the period of study, it provides for both acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the course of classroom activities and practical experience during the period of practice at school. Students’ research supervisors evaluate the degree of research competence using specific means of assessment. The process of forming professional skills and experience is completed by the preparation and defense of master’s theses. Management of the master’s program and research activities of undergraduates over the course of a number of years allowed us to form our clear approaches to its organization and to develop special criteria for evaluating the results. This experience can be useful for those who begin to prepare future masters in different directions.
