Annotation In the article the formation problem of ethnic and civil identity of a younger generation on the example of the extracurricular activities program created by the author “Ethnostudio “Springs is considered. Introduction to ethnography”. The program is addressed to school students of initial classes, aimed at development of interest of children in ethnocultural traditions of own and other peoples, at judgment of ethnoculture as a life-giving spring in genesis of culture, in its continuity and development, mastering art and creative forms of folk art. The program of ethnostudio consists of four parts (modules) built with expansion and complication of ethnocultural material in a polycultural context: the 1st class – “National games”, the 2nd class – “Home”, the 3rd class – “A national holiday”, the 4th class – “I and the ethnoworld”. Similar courses of ethnography are important for formation of cultural continuity, understanding and assimilation of traditional spiritual and moral values, their enduring value and relevance in modern Russian society. The content of occupations of ethnostudio is built by a method of comparison of games, traditions, works of folklore, national architecture, arts and crafts, features of activity; the valuable reference point on formation of the Russian civil identity of school students is implemented.
