Annotation In the article, in accordance with the teachings of S. L. Rubinstein, preschoolers speech is regarded as an activity. It is a system-structural formation of five components: concept, material, means, system of statements and the result as a self-rating of the product adequacy to its concept. A preschooler from the age of 3, mastering each of the four types of speech (narration, description, proof, explanation) as a means of communication between people, actively relies on the interaction of the objective consciousness (what about to speak) and self-consciousness (why talk about it). In order to determine the quality of mastering cohesive speech by children of preschool age, indicators of the developed of coherent speech (narration, description, proof, explanation) and their qualitative characteristics have been developed and presented.
