The article reviews the approaches to the planning of the regional educational program in infant schools. The author focuses her attention on the actual points of the program generated by participants of educational process. The separate part of this program can be directed to the specific features of national and ethnocultural circumstances which provide the educational activity. The author outlines some urgent problems of the regional program, i.e. lack of the determined regional strategy of permanent education for children, some difficulties in planning the contents and ways of modelling educational process in infant schools, taking into account regional and ethnocultural features; shortage of methodological support. The author has made theoretical analysis of the problem, examined ethnocultural and regional parts of educational programs in infant schools in the Republic of Buryatia. The author’s model of the regional program represented in this article includes its structure, construction principles and ways of integration of the ethnocultural contents in the educational process in infant schools. The content of the regional education includes ethnocultural modules which can be naturally integrated with the basic educational program. The given contents can be effectively put into practice under the condition of the exact choice of educational modeling, basing on the principles of integration, projecting of the ethnocultural educational environment, organization of partnership with parents and community, using innovative educational technologies.
