The article presents the experience of the development of fine motor skills of children in the classroom for graphic activities, describes some visual techniques and didactic techniques that contribute to the formation of grafomotor skills of preschoolers. Most modern children, as the researchers note, possess lethargy and fatigue of arm muscles, which, in turn, negatively affects the formation of writing skills, pace of work in classroom and, as a result, depletion of nervous energy and need for special attention from the teacher. It is possible to reduce the difficulties of mastering writing in school if in preschool age to focus on the development of fine motor skills of a child. Purposeful training will be an indispensable condition for a successful result, and besides, before school, it is necessary not to teach writing letters, but exclusively to prepare for it, so that the pupil will have no problems due to the incorrect formation of the writing technique. The author focuses on the fact that the use of plasticine technique, sand painting, finger writing and other artistic techniques greatly expands the pedagogical potential of painting activities in preparing children for school.
