Annotation The formation of schoolchildren’s conceptosphere in Russian language teaching is an urgent task of culturally-oriented linguistic methodology, which is solved by implementing linguo-conceptocentric approach to teaching. In the context of modern educational practice, it is essential to consider not only the age-related characteristics of students but also the specific attributes of those belonging to the ‘digital generations’ Z and Alpha. In particular, they include stereotyping and high level of controllability. In this regard, in the process of forming the conceptosphere of modern schoolchildren it is important to create conditions for their conscious choice of worldview attitudes and value orientations, attitudes to certain cultural realities. The analysis and generalization of scientific literature on the research topic revealed the prospects of forming the conceptosphere of modern schoolchildren through the construction of linguocognitive concepts in their consciousness. The parallels between the structure of linguocultural and linguocognitive concepts are found and the connection between the formation of personality conceptosphere and the study of conceptosphere of culture is clarified. The author has hypothesized that the formation of linguocognitive concepts in the schoolchildren’s consciousness is possible in the intellectual activity of students. Moreover, the objective of such activity is to gain an understanding of the linguistic and cultural concepts that underpin traditional Russian values. A comparison of the values and components of the conceptosphere of Russian culture has enabled the definition of a list of concepts that show promise in the formation of the conceptosphere of schoolchildren of the ‘digital generation’ and the linguo-conceptocentric approach implementation in teaching Russian. The list comprises both constants of Russian culture and other concepts that facilitate the comprehension of traditional Russian values.
