The article presents the conceptual foundations of value-semantic study and interpretation of F. A. Abramov’s novella “Wooden Horses”, develops a methodological technology of study and its key elements – reader’s perception of the text, imaginative thinking, imagination, a set of exercises that stimulate associative thinking, comparisons, metaphorical perception, improving the creative potential of schoolchildren. An appeal to the problem of the development of value-semantic assimilation and understanding of the works of F. A. Abramov’s students in the study of program material on literature within the framework of federal work programs, the development of students’ creative abilities allowed the author to assume that the use of creative techniques in the developed technology, reader’s perception (emotions, imagination, understanding of composition, artistic details of the text), their semantic content as qualities of personal development and exercises and tasks for association, metaphorization and others contribute to the value-semantic development of the content of a literary text. In the process of teaching literature, students were offered a set of tools: questionnaires to determine the initial reader’s perception, diagnostic questions, creative techniques, tasks and exercises focused on emotional development, stimulation of imagination, comprehension of textual content and the formation of a value-semantic understanding of literary works. The purpose of the article is to analyze F. A. Abramov’s novel “Wooden Horses” from the standpoint of the value-semantic development of works of art in literature lessons at school. When studying F. Abramov’s novel “Wooden Horses”, included in the federal work program on literature, potential stages of students’ work were identified using the methodological technology of reader’s perception and imagination for the value-semantic development of the work, and methodological techniques, creative tasks and exercises aimed at improving reading skills and reading practice were developed. The perspective of the research is to improve the reading qualities in the value-semantic development of literary text by schoolchildren of the digital generation, creative methods for developing students’ understanding of literary text, actualization of emotional and reader’s imagination.
