Annotation |
Air quality determines the level of human health and ecological systems in urban
areas. Species of living organisms, which can serve as bio-indicators, should meet certain
requirements. This work is devoted to the study of fluctuating asymmetry of Betula
pendula Roth in urban conditions of the protected natural territory and the use of this
indicator to assess air quality in Eastern Zabaikalye. The bio-indication method allows
assessing complex impact of pollutants on living organisms and plays an important role in
ecological monitoring. The research resulted in air quality mapping of Chita environs and
Ivano-Arakhleisky wildlife reserve.
