| Annotation |
The article analyzes the living traditions of realism, “sprouting” in modern prose. Traditions are
manifested in the comparison with the works of Russian prose of the past. A. Rekemchuk’s story
Young-Green reflects the linguistic processes that have become active in modern Russian prose.
The language of A. Rekemchuk’s prose is characterized by living language processes, including
metaphorization (anthropocentrism of metaphors), semantic and grammatical shifts. The use of
phraseological units and sayings is of particular interest. Linguistic game with set expressions
becomes the basis of a humorous narration, which is the basis of the writer’s individual style. The
principles of their use vary. In terms of content, A. Rekemchuk’s realistic prose is characterized by
the search for the meaning in life and the formation of the individual. In his works there is always a
hero, whom modern prose lacks.
