| Annotation |
The authors of the article prove that traditional Chinese painting known as Guohua remains
relevant in contemporary culture of China due to its artistic excellence, deep symbolism, historic roots
and humanistic orientation. The authors analyze multiple ways traditional painting is represented in
modern culture and its contribution to the development of cultural industries in China. Masterpieces
of the traditional Chinese painting are highly demanded. The traditional painting is the basis of artistic
innovations, an ethnic mark, a commercial brand, a source of ideas in animation, an investing,
etc. Contemporary artists combine Western and Chinese traditions making them deeper. The authors
resume that the traditional Chinese painting remains alive as a way to save ethnic identity, classical
aesthetics and treasures of Chinese culture.
