Annotation The article reveals the system of methodical preparation of the future teacher of physics, carried out under the conditions of implementation of the Federal state educational standard of higher education in the direction 44.03.05 Teacher education. The contents of this system at the component level (the learning objectives, the content of the educational material, methods, tools, forms of organization of teaching, assessment (results) of the educational process) is conceptualized in accordance with the theoretical and practical bases of its implementation at the level approaches (system, competence, personality-activity, contextual), models, principles, in the aspect of the challenges currently facing the system of the higher pedagogical education. Two models of the system: the structural model and the layer model are discussed in detail. It is proved that the basis of methodical preparation system of the future teacher of physics is discipline “Methods of teaching subjects (physics)”. The article provides a detailed description of the discipline (goals and objectives, principles of content selection and organization of educational material, the organization features of the educational process). The article describes the purposes and essence of control types (preliminary, current, mid-term, final), which are used in the framework of the discipline “Methods of teaching subjects (physics)” for estimating the level of formation of students’ professional competencies. The article offers further actions for improving the system: accounting requirements of professional teacher standard and regional labor market demands with regard to all components of the system of methodical preparation of the future teacher of physics, designing educational outcomes (professional competences) based on consideration of all stakeholders (the person, the employer, the state, society), the development of professional competencies passports proposed by employers, the criteria and indicators, the identifying shapes, the means of assessment of professional competence, allowing to determine the effectiveness of the system of methodical preparation of the future teacher of physics.
