Annotation The article analyzes the results of a study on the preparation of students in the master’s program in pedagogy for professional activities, using information and communication technologies (ICT), characterizes the value potential of ICT and their usage in education. The value aspects of mastering modern information technologies by future teachers (master’s program) are revealed from two complementary positions: on the one hand, the revealing of the human potential in the process of becoming a competent specialist who is able to use information technologies, work successfully in a team, develop and implement innovative ideas in the process of creating a modern didactic tool; on the other hand, the raising of a future teacher, who is able to design the educational process based on modern educational technologies, including ICT. One of the leading pedagogical conditions contributing to the realization of the value aspects of mastering ICT by the students in the master’s program in pedagogical education is the application of both axiological and competence approaches. This allows each university student to be considered as an active value-motivated subject of education and research activities in the development and testing of innovative didactic tools, using ICT, and who recognizes the importance of personal participation in innovation activity.
