Annotation Today it is important for every person to know and understand the role of mathematics in real life, and life in the 21st century dictates new approaches to mathematics education. The main issues of modern education include the formation of mathematical literacy, which is evaluated in the international PISA study. The problem of the formation of mathematical literacy is becoming increasingly important and becomes more acute. This requires permission at different levels of mathematical education, including teacher training. One of the ways to improve the effectiveness of training of future teachers of mathematics is to include in the content of academic disciplines and practices that provide a methodological component of training, tasks for the formation, and verification of the level of mathematical literacy. The purpose of this study is to consider and substantiate the integration of fundamental and methodological components of the preparation of the future teacher of mathematics for the formation of mathematical literacy among students. A distinctive feature of this work is the use of B. Bloom’s taxonomy to organize the process of preparing future teachers of mathematics for the formation of mathematical literacy among students. The research is based on the concepts and models of mathematical literacy presented in PISA. The methodological basis of the research is the system-activity approach. The article describes the positive experience in the implementation of educational programs of the pedagogical direction at the Trans-Baikal State University. The proposed approach is to organize the educational and cognitive activities of the future teacher of mathematics. The activity under consideration is aimed at creating a system of necessary professional knowledge, skills and methods of action for the formation of mathematical literacy in students.
Key words mathematical literacy, teacher training, teaching mathematics, taxonomy of learning objectives, methodological training
