Annotation Based on analysis of the Federal State Educational Standard of the Second Generation for lower secondary and upper secondary school, as well as psychological, linguistic, didactic and linguodidactic literature and generalization of the results, the author shows specific characteristics of students’ cultural competence formation while studying phraseological units considering system-activity and reflexive approaches. The study shows specific features of the system, activity, system-activity and reflexive approaches in teaching Russian and students’ cultural competence formation while studying phraseological units. The possibility of simultaneous use of system-activity and reflective approaches in students’ cultural competence formation is substantiated. The paper provides the aim and content of work connected with students’ cultural competence formation while studying phraseological units considering systemactivity and reflexive approaches in teaching Russian. This work’s potential in achieving the aims of modern education defined in the Federal State Educational Standard of the Second Generation for lower secondary and upper secondary school is shown. The results obtained can be used in teaching Russian in lower secondary and upper secondary school. The research findings suggest that use of system-activity and reflexive approaches in students’ cultural competence formation while studying phraseological units can manifest itself in forming students’ subject and general subject knowledge, skills and work methods, values and motives of educational-cognitive activity.
