Annotation The article discusses the mutual influence of literature and cultures in the conditions of preservation of the region’s cultural heritage. Nowadays, literary education aimed at creating a personality that is able to master regional cultural values and has the potential for active interaction in the multicultural environment of the region is becoming in demand. For the first time, taking into account the ideas of the educational process regionalization, use of the axiological approach in organizing lessons to study the works of the Transbaikal poet Vyacheslav Vyunov and the Transbaikal artist Nikolay Orlov is justified, the value-semantic dominant that determines the conditions for achieving the synthesis of arts (poetry and painting) is identified, and a methodological toolkit for implementing the content these lessons is suggested. The article notes the scientific popularity of literary regional studies as a local cultural phenomenon and provides the most interesting studies in this area.The authors set the task of identifying the axiological potential of regional realities in the educational space of Transbaikalia. The research methodology have become the selected interdisciplinary, structural-semiotic, epistemological, aesthetic, axiological and personal-activity approaches that allow the synthesis of poetic and pictorial texts of Russian culture in ecfrasis of meanings in their symbolic expression; determine the choice of teaching methods and techniques that can help students enter the aesthetic world of Transbaikal culture and acquire personal meaning and life guidelines. As a result, it was revealed that the content of literature lessons, built on the basis of the community of arts – poetry and painting of Transbaikalia, gives an idea of nature, history, culture and literature of the native land. The appeal to the axiological significance of regional realities is achieved in the process of training and education of schoolchildren.
